PFAS - Community Public Water Systems

The City of Pine City has been working closely with the MN Department of Health (MDH), and the MN Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) since 2019 on the matter of PFAS that was detected in city well #5. When the city was made aware of PFAS in well #5, the well was immediately put into emergency status only and has not been used for drinking water since that time.
Currently, we are scheduled with the MPCA to investigate the source of the PFAS and to determine compliance. When this investigation is completed there will be more information for the public.
